Our Message Is Simple
"God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation."
~ 2 Corinthians 5:19 ~
God loves you because you were created in "His Image" and therefore His. He wants you to know His amazing love for you; in that He gave His only Son –Jesus Christ Who was delivered to death for your sin and mine, and raised to LIFE– so that our relationship with Him can be restored and so that we can be alive again –overflowing with inexplicable joy.
"He, Jesus, is the atoning sacrifice not only for your sin and mine, but for the sins of the whole world."
~ 1 John 2:2
PorchLight Church is an Evangelical Christian Cafe-Style Church meeting at the Core of London Ontario - Centered around the Spreading of the Gospel Good News of Jesus. Join us as we "Converse" Biblically and Practically at "Round Tables" about topics that matter to all of us.
We realize, as a church, that Interaction, engagement and conversation is vital to understanding the needs around us and how we can, together, discuss and practically and co-operatively work on solutions. The lack of this interaction has added to the notion that faith, God, and "faith communities" are ineffective and therefore unnecessary. Faith communities are depleting in our post-Christian society largely because we have lost the art of "conversing" in community and with hospitality and love for one another in a relevant way.
Faith communities grounded in the Bible will see, that God intends for us to know His unconditional love for us; as we share our lives together; and as we extend God's love to each other and the communities around us. The simple message of hope and God's love should not be forgotten.
"Journalism largely consists of saying ‘Lord Jones is Dead’ to people who never knew that Lord Jones WAS ALIVE.”~ G.K. Chesterton
We all have so much to teach each other in relationship and fellowship, prayer and worship. Let's Share our story of what God is doing and see what the Holy Spirit will do next.
As we share life together and learn from the Scriptures Exemplified in Jesus, And as we are centred on the gospel good news, we can develop the tools to make a difference in our families, communities, and the world.
Our communities are in need of change. Lets, with intentionality, be world changers to make a positive difference; sharing the story of the Father's Gospel Good News in our lives and be the Light.

"He arose, and came to his father. But while he was still far off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. The son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.'
"But the father said to his servants, 'Bring out the best robe, and put it on him. Put a ring on his hand, and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let’s eat, and celebrate; for this, my son, was dead, and is alive again. He was lost, and is found.' Then they began to celebrate."

GOD HAS LEFT HIS PORCHLIGHT ON FOR YOU... God loves you because you were created in "His Image" and therefore His. He wants you to know His amazing love for you; in that He gave His only Son –Jesus Christ Who was delivered to death for your sin and mine, and raised to LIFE– so that our relationship with Him can be restored.
""For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His faithful love toward those who fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him. For He knows what we are made of, remembering that we are dust."
"Who then is the one who condemns?
No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us."
~ Romans 8:34
There is enough judgement and condemnation going around. Our natural world is already filled with things that perpetuate decay and death, we do not need help from friends and family to perpetuate even more. Sure, we may get put down by those people who are outside of our circle of care. But, when it comes from those we love and those who love us, it digs even deeper into our soul and hurts even more. More than that, when these people, who say they love us also profess to have faith in God, the hurt goes even deeper yet.
The disturbing thing is that these people feel and believe that their judging is directed and commanded by God Himself – that the Bible actually teaches us to judge. But does the Bible really teach that? Without getting into too much of an argument, here's a great place to start. Romans 8:34 says that not Even Jesus condemns. When we condemn and judge, we put ourselves outside of the realm of the Kingdom of God and His Principles.

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"
~2 Corinthians 5:17
You may think that you're too far gone. Maybe your broken relationships serve as a kind of "proof in the puding" for you. Those people who were close to you before have now backed up into the shadows – no where to be seen now that you're in your depths -in your rock bottom. This is a very lonely place and nothing alive should ever live down here. You feel completely abandoned. You now feel like this is your new home – not because you like it here but because no one can or is able to stay by your side down here.
David, a character in the Bible found himself in a place like this. He too felt abandoned by those who said they loved him. None of them were able or willing to come live down here with him. This is the ugly place where only those who "trully" and genuinely see you for who you are and love you, if they trully did, "WOULD" stay here with you in this raw state... And it could be that the stress of feeling alone is just simply overwhelming. But remember, David "made" his bed here... in the depths of hell. But... God was there with him. There is nowhere you can go where the Spirit of God isn't.
An article on everydayhealth.com said this about stress: "Our goal is to empower people with the knowledge and tools to manage their own stress; to help them recognize and identify the things that trigger their stress response; and to take action before it does them harm". We share the same gaol in that we want to help you understand what can cause and srigger spiirtual stress in your life. Feeling like you're alone is one of the main causes for stress and depression.
You're not alone!
."You, LORD, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light."
~ Psalm 18:28
Finding hope in this time of Corona virus. The biggest question could be "where is God during this corona virus?
Back in the Old Testament time, there once was also a time when people needed desperate help in a time of terrible sickness. After the Israelites had left Egypt and were on their way to the Red Sea, they got impatient because they had to go the long way "...they spoke against God and against Moses, and said, 'Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? There is no bread! There is no water! And we detest this miserable food!'”
Then the Lord sent venomous snakes among them; they bit the people and many Israelites died. The people came to Moses and said, 'We sinned when we spoke against the Lord and against you. Pray that the Lord will take the snakes away from us.' So Moses prayed for the people.
The Lord said to Moses, 'Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.' So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, they lived." ~ Book of Numbers 21:4-8
Now, I'm not suggesting that God has sent the Corona virus. The point I'm trying to make is that, even when and especially when the hard times come, God always makes a way out. There was nothing supernatural about bronze or the snake. God wanted people to first of all repent of their 'grumbling impatient sin of wanting their way and thinking they know better' and to also then have faith in what God says si the best way and remedy.
The same applies today – in these interesting and uncertain times when we don't know what's going to come of the Corona Virus. God wants us to turn to Him and "be and do" what He says we should be and do.
."For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light." ~ Ephesians 5:8

For just as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body—though many—are one body, so too is Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body. Whether Jews or Greeks or slaves or free, we were all made to drink of the one Spirit. For in fact the body is not a single member, but many... But as a matter of fact, God has placed each of the members in the body just as he decided. If they were all the same member, where would the body be? So now there are many members, but one body... If one member suffers, everyone suffers with it. If a member is honored, all rejoice with it. As PorchLight Church, we endeavour to Spiritually and practically partner with other Christian organizatios as a
